Dr.Daniel (Daniel) Graetzer

Education

Ph.D. in Exercise Science and Sport Science
University of Utah
M.A. in Physical Education
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

Research Interests

I have published and presented a master's thesis and doctoral dissertation under medical school committee members in the areas of water exercise throughout pregnancy and thermal exercise stress physiology, and written grants focusing on applied and environmental physiology, hematology and fluid balance, and neuromuscular fatigue. My personal interests have focused upon the prevention and rehabilitation of cardiopulmonary disease and degenerative orthopedic disorders. My expertise and certifications in clinical exercise stress testing and physical conditioning have provided me with an excellent model to instruct students on the specific mechanisms and dynamics of energy metabolism in cardiovascular, thermoregulatory, respiratory, and hematological function and their roles in disease pathophysiology and management.
