This applied project management course introduces students to core project management principles and technology trends while providing hands-on experience with Microsoft Project®. Through a blend of analysis and practical assignments, students gain essential project management skills by creating comprehensive project plans, organizing project tasks such as estimating, budgeting, and scheduling, and managing resource allocation. Additional topics include identifying constraints, determining critical paths, building Gantt charts, and establishing baselines to monitor project performance. Because this is an applied project management program, students will learn to apply industry-recognized techniques for managing projects of varying complexity.
